With each passing day, World is becoming the tough place to live. With increasing financial stress and difficulties, it is getting hard for humans to cope with inflation and to fulfill their basic needs. All efforts are rendered for fulfillment of personnel and family needs. Due to this financial crunch, the thought of charity is going behind. People are less bother about charity now.
Charity is basically help of needy people around us. It is done to help the needy people in any way, it can be by giving money, food, clothes or fulfilling any need of person or family. Charity is done on individual basis. Organizations are also there to collect the charity of individuals and spend the collective resources in such a way to produce good results by helping more people. In different countries of the world, charity programs are running by Governments.
If we dig out to find the biggest charity of the world. The answer will be " Eid ul Adha". Eid ul Adha is the biggest charity of the world. It repeats every year. So it can be considered as biggest charity of the world on annual basis.
Eid-ul-adha is the religious event celebrated by muslims all over the world every year. It is associated with sacrifice of animal like goat, cow and camel etc. It is celebrated every year in last islamic month of Zil-Hajj. The biggest event of muslims that is pilgrimage (Hajj) is also performed by muslims in this year.
The sacrifice on Eid-ul-adha is done in following of Prophet Abraham (Ibrahim in Arbic language)(A.S). ALLAH (GOD) asked the Prophet (A.S) to sacrifice the deariest thing in HIS way. Prophet (A.S) agreed to sacrifice his son in way of ALLAH (GOD). But in place, sheep was given to sacrifice. Following the same, every year , muslims give the sacrifice if animals.
The meat of sacrified animal is divided into three parts. One for ownself, second for realitives and third for needy people. In this way, each muslim on day of Eid-ul-adha helps the needy by giving meat to him without any cost or price. This is done with due respect too and doner is doing it as its obligation not a favour to anyone.
Today, there are approximate near Two billion muslims in the world. Now assume if half of them perform the sacrifice of animals on the day of Eid-ul-Adha. It becomes the biggest charity of world. Poor people who cannot afford the good food can have good food on the day of Eid-ul- Adha. Not only for one day, it gives them opportunity to store meat for utilization in coming days.
No other example is present in world to compare the quantum and magnitude of the sacrifice given on day of Eid-ul-adha. This makes the Eid-ul-adha as biggest charity of the world.
